Meet Rachel Dunbar!

A native of Greenwood, South Carolina, Rachel graduated from Norfolk State University, an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) in Norfolk, Virginia where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science, Health, and Kinesiotherapy. She went on to receive a Master of Health Administration Degree from Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rachel served as a Unit Coordinator and Staff Assistant at Advocate Health formerly known as Atrium Health (Carolinas Healthcare System) in Charlotte, NC.

Rachel is currently a member of the Executive Team at Columbus Regional Healthcare System managed by Advocate Health in Whiteville, NC. She started there as an Executive Assistant to the CEO, where she has had a progressive career path to the Interim Wound Healing Center Director, as well as Director of Administrative Services & Special Projects. While still advancing in her career she held the position of Vice President & Administrative Chief of Staff before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Rachel is also a current member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Sandhills American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Board of Director, and a Board of Director for The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) Lower Cape Fear.

She and her family currently reside in Brunswick County, North Carolina.
