Poonam Kahlon, SHRM-SCP, is  Director of Talent Acquisition and HRBP at Somos. Poonam has over 15 years’ experience working as HR leader in various industries (Manufacturing, Education, Financial Services, Retail, Consumer Services, and Technology). She holds two master degrees - Masters in Computer Applications from India and an MBA from Clemson University - along with multiple HR Certifications. A strategic, visionary leader with strong business acumen, Poonam utilizes a holistic business insight to position short and long-term organizational growth and success.

Poonam serves as board member on YWCA, Wilmington and Novant Health Coastal Board. Poonam has served as advisory board member for WILMA and as Cultural Secretary  on CFCAI, Wilmington. Poonam is married with 2 young children and is passionate about empowering youth, women, and unrepresented.
