In today's world, it is more important than ever to educate ourselves on issues of social justice and equality. One way to do this is through reading books that tackle these important topics. That's why we have established the Reading for Justice Book Club. Reading For Justice meetings are held every other month and focus on reading and discussing books related to social justice.
Reading books about social justice allows us to gain a deeper understanding of the issues at hand. These books often provide different perspectives and shed light on experiences that we may not have personally encountered. They also allow us to empathize with others and become more aware of our own biases and privileges. By reading and discussing these books, we can become more informed and better equipped to take action toward creating a more just and equitable society.
In June, we will be discussing The Darkest Child, by Delores Phillips
